Protein Engineering
Academic research paired with biotech spirit
We focus on translating scientific discoveries into therapeutic drug candidates. In collaboration with biologists and clinicians at Stanford, we combine groundbreaking biology with advanced drug discovery platforms to develop biomedicines that benefit patients with unmet medical needs.
Protein Engineering at the Nucleus
We have dedicated ourselves to the art of creating new proteins and modifying them so that they have the desired properties for therapeutic applications. We use a variety of methods ranging from directed evolution and high throughput screening to computational design and machine learning. In addition, we have a range of technologies at our disposal that allow us to analyze our molecules according to all the rules of the art.
IMA Protein Therapeutics
The Innovative Medicines Accelerator (IMA) is based on a partnership between Sarafan ChEM-H and Stanford Medicine and provides researchers with access to technologies, resources, expertise and funding to translate their biomedical discoveries into therapeutics. As the title suggests, our primary focus is on the development of protein-based therapies with novel, previously unknown biology. Our goal is to find elegant solutions to the world's most pressing health problems using the simplest means possible.
